Y PPA Manager – Manage Your Ubuntu PPA

Y PPA Manager is an all in all PPA (Personal Package Archives) management tool for your Ubuntu system. It helps to manage PPAs easily and friendly manner. And it also helps Ubuntu users stay up to date with third-party apps. It supports Ubuntu notifications, Unity quick lists, indicator and HUD.

Using the Y PPA Manager, you can add, remove and purge your PPA. It helps you to search packages in all Launchpad PPAs. You can edit PPA source file, remove duplicate PPAs, import all missing GPG keys, fix GPG BADSIG errors, backup and restore PPAs. It allows as to Update single PPAs without running a full “apt-get update” command. and re-enable working PPAs after Ubuntu upgrade.

Y PPA Manager

Install Y PPA Manager on Ubuntu:

To install Y PPA Manager on ubuntu, you need to add webupd8team’s repository. Open terminal and run the below command.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/y-ppa-manager

Then type your ubuntu password and press the enter key to continue.

Then type the below command and hit enter

sudo apt-get update

Then type the below command and hit enter to install the Y PPA Manager.

sudo apt-get install y-ppa-manager

After the successful installation of Y PPA manager restart your Ubuntu, if you needed.

To open Y PPA manager, click the Show Apps from Ubuntu dash and type Y PPA manager in the search field. Then click Y PPA manager.
