UFRaw is a free RAW image editor for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. You can use Unidentified Flying Raw (UFRaw) to read and edit raw images files from digital cameras.It is licensed under the GNU General Public License.It is available as a standalone app and GIMP plugin. It comes with simple and easy to use color Management system. You can also apply ICC color profiles and tone curves. Some other available options are white balance, Grayscale, base curve, correct luminosity and saturation, crop and rotate, EXIF settings and Interpolation.
How to install UFRaw on Ubuntu
You can install UFRaw on Ubuntu based OS using the below method. To install the latest version of UFRaw, you need to add its PPA using below command in terminal.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:crass/ufraw
Type your ubuntu password and press the enter. Then again press the enter key to confirm the addition. Then execute the below command in terminal and hit the enter.
sudo apt-get update
After that type & enter the below command in terminal to install the UFRaw RAW image editor on Ubuntu.
sudo apt-get install ufraw
After the installation of UFRaw RAW image editor, click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type UFRaw the search box and click UFRaw to open it. For Unity you can search UFRaw from ubuntu dash.
