Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak Release Schedule released

The next version of ubuntu, ubuntu 16.10 gets a codename Yakkety Yak. Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth revealed on his personal blog post. Yakkety Yak final stable is scheduled for release on October 20, 2016.

Alpha 1 – June 30th (for flavours)
Alpha 2 – July 28th (for flavours)
Feature Freeze and Debian Import Freeze — August 18th
Beta 1 – August 25th (for flavours)
User Iinterface Freeze — September 8th
Final Beta – September 22nd
Release Candidate and final freeze – October 13th
Final Release – October 20th, 2016
