Paperwork Personal Document Manager

Paperwork is a free and open source document management application for Windows and Linux. Using Paperwork you can manage your scanned documents and PDFs easily. It comes with OCR and scanner support. It turns all documents into searchable documents and helps you to search your files easily. You can synchronized on many computers with tools like Nextcloud, Syncthing, SparkleShare, Shared folders, etc. It supports PEG, hOCR and PDF file formats. You can add colorful labels and some other important features are automatic page orientation detection and quick page editing.

Install Paperwork on Ubuntu Linux

Paperwork is available via the default Ubuntu repositories and flatpak from flathub. In terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) run below commands one by one to install and run Paperwork.

sudo apt update
sudo apt install paperwork-gtk
paperwork

Install Paperwork via Flatpak:

You need to install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart after the installation.

How to install flatpak and flathub

Open terminal command line app and run below Paperwork flatpak install command.

flatpak install flathub work.openpaper.Paperwork

It will install the latest version of Paperwork flatpak. Now open it via the applications menu or via below command.

flatpak run work.openpaper.Paperwork

You can also uninstall it via below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall work.openpaper.Paperwork
