Operating System Market Share December 2010

According to Net Applications, windows decreased its market share in December by 0.52%. Mac losses 0.01%.The iOS gained the most overall usage share .33% and Android grew at the fastest pace in December. Windows 7 passed 20% in global usage share in December.
Total market share of microsoft windows is 90.29%, mac 5.02%, iOS 1.69%, Android 0.40% and linux 0.96%.

Browser Market Share – December 2010

According to Net Applications, IE decreased its market share in December by 1.36%. Firefox gains 0.05% and chrome gains 0.72%. Safari gains 0.34%. Chrome continues to eat away at IE’s market share. Total market share of microsoft internet explore is 57.08%, firefox 22.81%,chrome 9.98%, Safari 5.89% and opera 2.23%.

To configure the grub2/burg settings in ubuntu in easy way you need to install Grub Customizer. The main feature is the boot entry list configuration .

1.Go to Applications->Accessories->Terminal and Type the below commands and press enter.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

2.Then go to Applications -> System Toiols -> Grub Customize to configure the grub2/burg settings in ubuntu

lshw is a small and build in tool in Ubuntu to get the detailed information on the hardware configuration. Using this you can view your memory configuration details, firmware details, mainboard configuration details, CPU details and system speed, cache configuration, bus speed details and lots more. Now we are goin to use this tool to get our system details. It currently supports DMI, OpenFirmware device tree, PCI/AGP, CPUID, IDE/ATA/ATAPI, PCMCIA , SCSI and USB.

How to Run Mozilla Firefox in safe mode

Safe mode in firefox allow users to temporarily disables the custom settings,themes and extensions.

To Run Mozilla Firefox in safe mode

Go to start menu->All Programs->Mozilla Firefox->Mozilla Firefox(Safe Mode).

In the Firefox Safe Mode dialog box, select the options and click Continue in safe mode button. In Safe Mode, your extensions and themes are disabled, and toolbar customizations are set to their defaults. But, these changes are not permanent. To start Firefox normally, exit Mozilla Firefox(Safe Mode) and start Mozilla Firefox. Now your extensions, themes, and settings will return to the state they were in
