LazPaint Advanced Image editor – Install LazPaint on Ubuntu

LazPaint is a free and open source Image editor for windows, MacOS and Linux. It is based on BGRABitmap library and released under open source GNU General Public License v3.0. You can use this as a PaintBrush or Paint.Net replacement. It comes with some good image and color manipulation features. It also comes filter support like Radial blur, Motion blur, directional blur, Custom blur, Sharpen, Smooth, Median, Contour, Emboss, Sphere, Clouds and more. LazPaint is a powerful image editor.

Install LazPaint on Ubuntu

LazPaint is available as a native deb and portable package files. Download LazPaint in deb file format from above image link and save it on your Downloads folder. Open your terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) and run below commands. Here “lazpaint7.1.4_linux64.deb” is downloaded file name. You can replace this with your actual file name.

cd Downloads
sudo dpkg -i lazpaint7.1.4_linux64.deb
sudo apt install -f

Run LazPaint without Installation:

Go to top LazPaint download link and download linux 64 bit (no install) or linux 32 bit (no install) file. Right click on that file and select Extract Here. Then open the extracted folder double click the lazpaint program file to run the program.
