JackTrip Multi Machine Audio Network

JackTrip is a free and open source multi-machine audio system for Linux, Windows and MacOS. You can use this app for network music performance over the internet. It comes with high quality, infinite any number of channels support. Some other features are bidirectional and uncompressed audio signal streaming. You can use it between any combination of machines to connect like Linux, macos and Windows.

Download JackTrip

Install JackTrip on Ubuntu Linux

Download JackTrip Linux binary zip file (it will look like JackTrip-v1.6.2-Linux-x64-binary.zip) from the above download link and save it in your Download folder. Right click on that file and select extract here to unzip it. Now open the extracted folder and double click the jacktrip program file or right click and select Run option to start JackTrip app.

JackTrip install

Install JackTrip via Flatpak:

First install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation. Now in your terminal command-line application (ctrl+alt+t) run below JackTrip flatpak install command.

flatpak install flathub org.jacktrip.JackTrip

This will install the latest JackTrip app on your Ubuntu system. After that run below command to start the app.

flatpak run org.jacktrip.JackTrip

You can also install it via

sudo flatpak uninstall org.jacktrip.JackTrip
