Superpaper is a free and open source multi monitor wallpaper manager for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. It supports Gnome, Budgie, Cinnamon, KDE, Mate, LXDE, LXQt, Pantheon, Mate, XFCE and i3, BSPWM with feh linux desktop environments. Using Superpaper you can set single image across all displays and also different image on every display. It also comes in Command-line interface. Some other important features are Hotkey support, set and control slideshow, bezel correction and pixel per inch correction. It is released in MIT License.
Install Superpaper multi monitor wallpaper manager on Ubuntu:
Superpaper wallpaper manager app available as a portable AppImage for Ubuntu. Go to the below link and download the latest version of Superpaper multi monitor wallpaper manager in AppImage format.
Open the Ubuntu terminal app (Ctrl+Alt+T) and navigate to your Superpaper multi monitor wallpaper manager download location via this command.
Note: For me the downloaded file path is “Downloads” folder in Ubuntu and downloaded file name is “superpaper-1.2.0-x86_64.AppImage“. You can change the below commands based on your file name and path.
cd Downloads
Then run the below command in terminal to change the file permission of the downloaded file to make it executable.
sudo chmod +x ~ superpaper-1.2.0-x86_64.AppImage
Type your Ubuntu user password if needed . If you like the GUI way to change the file permission then right click on the downloaded .AppImage file and select Properties.Then go to the Permissions tab and check the Allow executing files as program option.
After that run this command in your console terminal app and it will start the Superpaper multi monitor wallpaper manager on your Ubuntu pc.
sudo ./superpaper-1.2.0-x86_64.AppImage
