Cairo Dock also known as GLX Dock is a Mac style dock for Ubuntu.
To install GLX-Dock / Cairo-Dock on ubuntu 11.04
Method 1:
1.Open ubuntu software center.To open ubuntu software center click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type ubuntu software center in the search applications field.Then click ubuntu software center.
2.Type Cairo-Dock in the search box.
3.click install button.
4.Type your ubuntu password if needed.
5.After the successful installation click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type Cairo-Dock in the search applications field.And click Cairo-Dock to open.
Method 2:
1.Open your Terminal.To Open terminal, click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type terminal in the search applications field.Then click terminal.
2.Type the below code in terminal and hit enter.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install cairo-dock
Type your ubuntu password if needed.
3.After the successful installation click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type Cairo-Dock in the search applications field.And click Cairo-Dock to open.
