How to install Free Download Manager for Linux on Ubuntu

Free Download Manager FDM is a free download accelerator and manager application for Linux, Windows, MacOS and Android. Using FDM you can download BitTorrent files, Preview audio and video files before download, convert video and audio file formats after download, download files in high speed, resuming your broken downloads from where it was interrupted and schedule the downloads. It comes with traffic usage modes and multi language support and more.

Install Free Download Manager FDM on Ubuntu

Free Download Manager is available in native .deb package file. You can download and install it from your terminal application. Download Free Download Manager from below download link and save it on your Downloads folder. After that open your terminal software (ctrl+alt+t) and navigate to your Downloads folder.

Download Free Download Manager for Linux

cd Downloads

Then run below command. Enter your Ubuntu user password if needed.

sudo dpkg -i freedownloadmanager.deb

Here “freedownloadmanager.deb” is the downloaded file name.

sudo apt install -f

Then open from applications search menu.
