You can easily enhance your privacy in Ubuntu Linux by toggling some of the privacy settings. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Stop the collection of anonymous information in Ubuntu
Click the Show Applications menu button in Ubuntu dock. Now search Settings app and open it.
Now go to the Privacy menu it the Ubuntu settings left side.
Now select Diagnostics and set Send error reports to Canonical to Never.
2. Disable Files History in Ubuntu
In the setting app, Select Privacy menu the sidebar and select File History & Trash.
Here disable the File history option and enable the automatically delete trash content and automatically delete temporary files and set the delete period.
3. Disable Location Services in Ubuntu
Click the Show Applications menu button in Ubuntu dock. Now search Setting app and open it. Now go to the Privacy menu it the Ubuntu settings left side.
Now select Locations Services and turn off it.
4. Enable Screen Lock in Ubuntu
Enabling automatics screen lock will prevents others from accessing your computer while your are away.
In Settings->Privacy->Screen Enable the Automatics Screen Lock.
5. Disable Connectivity Checking in Ubuntu
If your network communications are being monitored then they can gather your computer’s technical information.
Go to Settings->Privacy->Connectivity disable connectivity checking.
