EWWW Image Optimizer – Optimize your WordPress site images

EWWW Image Optimizer is a free wordpress plugin to optimize your wordpress images. You can manualy reduce the size of already uploaded images or automatically optimize your images as you upload them to your wordpress website.By default, this plugin uses lossless image optimization techniques and and optionally you can also apply lossy compression to achieve huge savings results.

EWWW Image Optimizer uses jpegtran, TinyJPG, JPEGmini, optipng, pngout, pngquant, TinyPNG, and gifsicle optimization tools.All optimized images by EWWW Image Optimizer are stored in the database of your wordpress site. And the plugin does not attempt to re optimize the images unless they are modified by the user. It supports NextGEN, GRAND FlAGallery and FooGallery. It also supports Amazon S3, Azure Storage, Cloudinary, and DreamSpeed CDN, Cloudflare, MaxCDN, and Sucuri CloudProxy.

How to install EWWW Image Optimizer on your wordpress website:

Login to your wordpress admin dashboard. (wp-admin).
In your wordpress admin dashboard click plugins and select Add New.

Type EWWW Image Optimizer in the search field and press the enter key.
Click the Install Now button in EWWW Image Optimizer.
After the successfully Installation click the activate Plugin link to activate the plugin.

Go to Setting-> EWWW Image Optimizer in the dashboard to configure EWWW Image Optimizer plugin. In the main page you wil find basic settings option. Here you can configure the JPG,PNG,GIF and PDF Optimization levels. And you can also remove the metadata from image.

In the advanced settings tab you can do scheduled optimization, resize the images, exclude the images from optimization and optimize image by folders.
