Google Chrome 23 stable released

Google just released chrome 23 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame, a new stable version of its popular browser. What’s new in this chrome 23 stable ?

GPU-accelerated video decoding enabled for Chrome on Windows.
battery lasted 25% longer when GPU-accelerated video decoding was enabled.
Now easier to view and control any website’s permissions for capabilities such as geolocation, pop-ups, and camera/microphone access.
Includes an option to send a “do not track” request to websites and web services.

Kaspersky Lab IT Threat Evolution: Q3 2012 report

Some important results from the latest quarterly report of kaspersky lab’s IT Threat report:

Kaspersky Lab products detected and neutralized 1,347,231,728 threats in Q3 2012.
Java vulnerabilities are used in more than half of all attacks.
28% of all mobile devices attacked run Android OS version 2.3.6
56% of exploits blocked in Q3 use Java vulnerabilities.
TOP malicious program detected on the Internet is Trojan Script Generic and on user’s computer is Trojan Win32 Generic.
A total of 91.9 million URLs serving malicious code were detected, a 3% increase compared to Q2 2012.

Happy halloween! google doodle 2012

Google is celebrating halloween with a interactive with music google doodle on its homepage.This doodle features a haunted mansion (numbered 13) with black alley cat, a crowing crow and a spider. Just click each door to reveal google logo.
