How to Install B1 Free Archiver on Ubuntu

B1 Archiver is a free archive manager for Windows, Linux, Mac and Android. Using this you can compression, decompression and encrypt your files. It supports b1, zip, jar, xpi, rar, 7z, arj, bz2, cab, deb, gzip, tgz, iso, lzh, lha, lzma, rpm, tar, xar, z, dmg file formats. It supports split and password-protected archives. You can encrypt with 256 bit AES encryption with password.

 

Install B1 Free Archiver on Ubuntu

B1 Free Archiver is available as a snap package for Ubuntu. You can install it via your terminal application. Open your terminal (ctrl+alt+t) and run below B1 Free Archiver snap installation command.

sudo snap install b1freearchiver

Then enter your Ubuntu user password if needed. After the installation you can open it via below command.

b1freearchiver
