Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new interactive London 2012 Slalom Canoe doodle on its homepage. Just click the blue play button and Use the left-right arrow keys to power up and navigate your canoe.

Whitewater slalom (canoe slalom since November 2008) is a competitive sport where the aim is to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible. It is one of the two kayak and canoeing disciplines at the Summer Olympics.

London 2012 Basketball google doodle

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new interactive London 2012 Basketball doodle on its homepage. Just click the blue play button and shoot baskets using the space bar or by holding and releasing the left mouse key.

Basketball has been a Summer Olympics sport for men consistently since 1936. Prior to its inclusion as a medal sport, it was held as demonstration event in 1904. Women’s basketball was played in the Olympics only since 1976.

Google is shutting down Google Apps for Teams, Google Listen, Google Video for Business

Google is shutting down some of its services. Shut down product list:

Google Apps for Teams – From September 4,2012, google will start converting existing Google Apps for Teams accounts into personal Google Accounts.

Google Listen – after November 1, podcast search won’t function.

Google Video for Business- transfer all videos found in that service over to Google Drive.

Wine 1.5.10 is now available for download. Wine is a free software that allows users to install and run Windows software on other operating systems.

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new London 2012 Pole Vault doodle on its homepage. This google doodle shows a female pole vaulter trying to take a leap over the bar using a pole and the logo of Google is seen behind the stadium.
Pole vaulting is a track and field event in which a person uses a long, flexible pole as an aid to leap over a bar. Pole jumping competitions were known to the ancient Greeks, Cretans and Celts. It has been a full medal event at the Olympic Games since 1896 for men and 2000 for women.

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows 8 has been released to manufacturing and the final build number is 9200. you can get Windows 8 starting on October 26th either by upgrading for $39.99 or on a new PC.

August 15th: Developers will be able to download the final version of Windows 8 via your MSDN subscriptions.
August 15th: IT professionals testing Windows 8 in organizations will be able to access the final version of Windows 8 through your TechNet subscriptions.
August 16th: Customers with existing Microsoft Software Assurance for Windows will be able to download Windows 8 Enterprise edition through the Volume License Service Center (VLSC), allowing you to test, pilot and begin adopting Windows 8 Enterprise within your organization.
August 16th: Microsoft Partner Network members will have access to Windows 8.
August 20th: Microsoft Action Pack Providers (MAPS) receive access to Windows 8.
