According to a blog post by google employee Saurabh Sharma, Google+ is rolling out vanity (custom) URLs for google+ profiles and pages.A custom URL is a short, easy to remember web address that links directly to your profile or page on Google+.
Now google introducing custom URLs to a limited number of verified profiles and pages.

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic closing day with a new London 2012 Closing Ceremony doodle on its homepage. This doodle features athletes from different Olympic sports celebrating the last day of the world’s biggest sporting event.

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new London 2012 Rhythmic Gymnastics doodle on its homepage.
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which individuals or teams of 2 or more manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, clubs, hoop, ball, ribbon and Free (no apparatus). An individual athlete only manipulates 1 apparatus at a time. When multiple gymnasts are performing a routine together a maximum of two types of apparatus may be distributed through the group. An athlete can exchange apparatus with a team member at any time through the routine.
