Snapshot is a free and open source webcam application for Linux. using Snapshot, you can take beautiful photos and record videos from your webcam. Currently it comes with countdown time, shutter sound on off option, videp recording mode and image picture mode and keyboard shortcuts. It is still in early development stage. It is released under GNU General Public License, version 3 or later.
How to Install Snapshot on Ubuntu Linux
You can install Snapshot via flatpak package file from the remote flathub. If you don’t have then install flatpak and flathub on your system first and restart it after the installation. Follow below link for the installation instructions.
Open the terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Snapshot webcam app flatpak installation command.
flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Snapshot
It will install the latest Snapshot app on your Ubuntu system.
flatpak run org.gnome.Snapshot
And you can uninstall it using below command.
sudo flatpak uninstall org.gnome.Snapshot
That’s it.
