GSmartControl is a free and open source SSD and Hard Disk health test application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is based on smartctl and released under GNU General Public License Version 3. Using GSmartControl, you can get hard disk and solid-state drives SMART data to find its health and run various tests on it.
It comes with SMART self-tests, manual enabling and disabling of SMART, automati report of anomalies, displays all drive identity information and statistics, get detail from smartctl output file and many more. It supports ATA, PATA, SATA drives, USB to ATA bridges, and drives behind RAID controllers.

How to Install GSmartControl on Ubuntu Linux
GSmartControl is available from the default Ubuntu repository. Open the terminal command-line application using the ctrl+alt+t keys and run below GSmartControl apt install command. It will install the latest version of GSmartControl software on your system
sudo apt install gsmartcontrol -y
After the successful installation of GSmartControl, you can start it from the show applications menu or via below command in terminal.
gsmartcontrol
It will list all your drives. Right on the disk icon and select view details will open the information dialog. It will comes with all drive data.
