KColorChooser Color Selector Palette Editor Software

KColorChooser is a free and open source color selector and palette editor application for Linux. Using this application you can mix and create custom color palettes and pick any color from your desktop screen using eye dropper. It is released under open source MIT license.

Install KColorChooser on Ubuntu Linux

KColorChooser is available as a snap, flatpak package file and from Ubuntu default repository. Open the terminal application (ctrl+alt+t) keys and run below KColorChooser snap install command.

sudo snap install kcolorchooser

After the KColorChooser installation and you can open it via the below command or from the show applications menu.

kcolorchooser

And you can also uninstall KColorChooser using this command.

sudo snap remove kcolorchooser

Install KColorChooser via APT:

You can also install KColorChooser via apt from the Ubuntu default repository. In terminal app run below command to install KColorChooser.

sudo apt install kcolorchooser

After the installation you can open KColorChooser by clicking the show applications menu from the Ubuntu dock. If you don’t line then you can easily uninstall KColorChooser using this command.

sudo apt remove kcolorchooser

Install KColorChooser via Flatpak:

First you need to install the latest version flatpak and flathub on your system and restart your system after the installation. Follow below link for the flatpak and flathub installation instruction.

Install flatpak and flathub on Ubuntu Linux

After that in the terminal app run below KColorChooser flatpak install command.

flatpak install flathub org.kde.kcolorchooser

And start the KColorChooser game

flatpak run org.kde.kcolorchooser

And uninstall KColorChooser using below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall org.kde.kcolorchooser
