Clean your Ubuntu System using Ubuntu Cleaner

Ubuntu Cleaner is a free open source temporary and cache file cleaner for Ubuntu. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3. Ubuntu cleaner is a fork of the Computer Janitor section of Ubuntu Tweak. Using this app, you can clean App caches, Apt cache, Thumbnail cache and old kernels.

How to install Ubuntu Cleaner on Ubuntu

To install Ubuntu Cleaner on Ubuntu, you need to add the official PPA repository. Open terminal and run the below command.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gerardpuig/ppa

Then type your Ubuntu password.And hit enter key confirm the installation. Then type the below command and hit enter.

sudo apt update

Then type the below command and hit enter and if asked type Y and hit enter to install ubuntu cleaner.

sudo apt install ubuntu-cleaner

After the successful installation of Ubuntu Cleaner restart your Ubuntu. Type the below command in terminal app to start it .

ubuntu-cleaner

You can also open it by clicking Show Apps from Ubuntu dock and type Ubuntu cleaner in the search field. Then click Ubuntu cleaner.
