How to Control Startup Applications in Ubuntu Linux

During the software installation in Ubuntu, some programs add themselves to the program startup list. And when you start your Ubuntu computer, it will run automatically with your Ubuntu OS. You can improve your computer’s performance by controlling unnecessary programs from running automatically when Ubuntu starts.

Click show applications menu in the Ubuntu dock and type startup application in the search box and select startup application.

It will open the Startup Applications Preferences window. Here you can Add, Remove and Edit the startup applications by clicking the Add, Remove and Edit buttons.
