How to install OpenShot on ubuntu 11.04

OpenShot Video Editor is a free open-source video editing software for Linux, built with Python, GTK, and the MLT Framework.

To install OpenShot on ubuntu 11.04

Method 1:

1.Open the terminal and type

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonoomph/openshot-edge

hit enter and type ubuntu password. then type below command and hit enter.

sudo apt-get update

type below command and hit enter.

sudo apt-get install openshot openshot-doc

press y and hit enter to continue.

2.After the successful installation click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type openshot in the search applications field. And click openshot to open.

Method 2:

1.Open ubuntu software center.To open ubuntu software center click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type ubuntu software center in the search applications field.Then click ubuntu software center.

2.Type openshot in the search box.

3.Select openShot video editor and click the install button.

4.Type your ubuntu password if needed.

5.After the successful installation click Applications icon from unity launcher. And type openshot in the search applications field. And click openshot to open.
