Ubuntu 20.10 Codename Groovy Gorilla and Release Schedule

Canonical released the code name of the next version of Ubuntu OS that the upcoming release Ubuntu 20.10 will be called Groovy Gorilla. According to some online dictionaries Groovy means – highly stimulating, attractive, excellent, Very pleasing, wonderful, fashionable, exciting. And you all know about Gorilla but anyway according to Wikipedia, Gorilla is a ground-dwelling, predominantly herbivorous largest living primates ape. And They are very close to human because the 95% of gorilla DNA is very similar to humans.

So finally Linux (Ubuntu) for Human Beings!

Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla is a not a Long-Term Support (LTS) release, just a interim release. So it supported for only 9 months with critical security, bug and app updates from Canonical.

Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla final stable is scheduled for release on 22nd October 2020.
