GrafX2 is a free and open source bitmap paint program for Linux and Windows. Using this you can create pixel art, game graphics and any other painting graphics with mouse. This application specialized for 256-color drawing. It is released under GPL-2.0 and CECILL-2.0. This paint program is inspired by the old popular Amiga programs ?Deluxe Paint and Brilliance. It comes with basic paint features, layers support, drawing mode, brush effects and more.

You can use this application as a Microsoft paint or Paintbrush alternative on Linux. You can also add effects on your drawing and images.
