BrowserQuest – Web based multiplayer adventure game

BrowserQuest is a Web-based massively multiplayer adventure game made for Mozilla by Little Workshop.This game is built with standards-based Web technologies like avaScript and HTML5 and is designed to be played within a Web browser.

BrowserQuest is available on Firefox, Chrome, Safari as well as iOS devices and Firefox for Android.

Google the default Search in Firefox for 3 years

Google and Mozilla have signed a new agreement that google will remain the default Search in Firefox for at least three more years.

“Under this multi-year agreement, Google Search will continue to be the default search provider for hundreds of millions of Firefox users around the world,” said Gary Kovacs, CEO, Mozilla.

“Mozilla has been a valuable partner to Google over the years and we look forward to continuing this great partnership in the years to come,” said Alan Eustace, Senior Vice President of Search, Google.

Boot to Gecko (B2G)

Boot to Gecko (B2G) is a new standalone operating system for the open web from Mozilla.This project is in its early stage.developers break down the building process in four steps.

1.New web APIs: build prototype APIs for exposing device and OS capabilities to content (Telephony, SMS, Camera, USB, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.)
2.Privilege model: making sure that these new capabilities are safely exposed to pages and applications
3.Booting: prototype a low-level substrate for an Android-compatible device;
4.Applications: choose and port or build apps to prove out and prioritize the power of the system.
