cmus is a free and open source command-line music player for Linux and MacOS. cmus (C* Music Player) is a light weight but powerful command line music player.It supports MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Opus, Musepack, MP4, WavPack, WAV, AAC, audio CD and more file formats. It also uses ffmpeg, libmodplug and BASS for input file support. Some of the important features are gapless and resume on startup playback, playlist filters, dynamic keybinding and replaygain support. You can stream MP3 and Ogg throught SHOUTcast and Icecast. It supports extensions. Using this you can extend its features. Some of the useful extensions are status display programs, UI themes, cmus-sync, cmus-mediakeys and cmus-youtube.
