Google just released chrome 17.0.963.83 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame, a new updated stable version of its popular browser.This release fixes issues with Flash games, along with the security fixes.

Fixes:

Use-after-free with first-letter handling
libpng integer issue from upstream.
Use-after-free in CSS cross-fade handling.
Memory corruption in WebGL canvas handling.
Use-after-free in block splitting.
Apply additional isolations to webui privileges.
Prompt in the browser native UI for unpacked extension installation.
Cross-origin violation with “magic iframe”.
Invalid read in v8.

140 Million active Twitter Users

Twitter celebrated its sixth birthday on 21 march 2012.And according to company’s blog post, Twitter now has 140 million global active users (logs into Twitter once a month) and 340 million Tweets a day. That’s more than 1 billion every 3 days.

Apple sold 3 million “The New iPad”

Apple announced that it has sold 3 million “The New iPad”s since the device launch on March 16 and this is the strongest iPad launch yet.

From Apple press release

“The new iPad is already available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands and will be available in 24 more countries starting at 8:00 a.m. local time on Friday, March 23 through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com) including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.”
