Karaoke Mugen is a free and open source karaoke player application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is released under MIT License. You can use this Karaoke Mugen application as a playlist manager and player for video and audio karaoke files. It work without an internet connection and local account and also available as a online player.
Install Karaoke Mugen on Ubuntu Linux
Karaoke Mugen is available as a portable AppImage and flatpak package files. Download Karaoke Mugen for Linux in AppImage file format from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder.
Now right click on it and select Properties and enable Executable as Program. Now close the Properties windows and again right click on that AppImage file and select Run.
It will open the Karaoke Mugen app.
Install Karaoke Mugen via Flatpak:
Karaoke Mugen is also available as a flatpak apckage from flathub. So first install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation. Now in the terminal app run below command.
flatpak install flathub moe.karaokes.mugen
It will install the latest version of Karaoke Mugen on your system. And open it using
flatpak run moe.karaokes.mugen
And uninstall it using.
sudo flatpak uninstall moe.karaokes.mugen
That’s it.
