EasyScreenCast is a free and open source Linux desktop and webcam recording software GNOME Shell extension. It supports Wayland and Xorg. Using EasyScreenCast, you can record your face and your desktop screen at the same time. It also comes with the option to set your audio source, select your webcam, recording time delay, record area selection option, cursor option, video quality, set webcam video quality, size and position and output file format and resolution.
How to Install EasyScreenCast on Ubuntu
If you want to install EasyScreenCast on your Linux system, then first your need to install GNOME Shell integration addon. The GNOME Shell integration addon is available for Firefox and chrome based browser like google chrome, vivaldi, microsoft edge, brave. Go to the below download links and install the GNOME Shell integration addon based on your browser. Then restart your browser.

Now open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) application and run below below native host connector apt install command. If needed type your Ubuntu password.
For Ubuntu 23.04 and newer
sudo apt-get install gnome-browser-connector
For Ubuntu 22.10 and below
sudo apt-get install chrome-gnome-shell
After that restart your browser, then go to the below EasyScreenCast download link.
Then turn ON the toggle to install EasyScreenCast. After turning ON , the installation windows will popup. Just click the install button.

How to Install Extension Manager on Ubuntu
EasyScreenCast stays as a indicator applet in the top-right system tray area.
Note: Just choose your webcam from the indicator menu, then setup the quality, size, and position in “Options” dialog to enable the Webcam recording option.
