How to install OpenTTD on Ubuntu – Open Source remake of Transport Tycoon Deluxe – OpenTTD

OpenTTD is a free open source business simulation game for BSD, Linux and Windows based on 1994 Transport Tycoon Deluxe game. In this game players try to earn money via transporting passengers and freight by road, rail, water and air.It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0. The main features are in game downloading of AIs, NewGRFs, scenarios and height maps, multiplayer mode for up to 255 players in 15 companies, different configurable models for acceleration of vehicles and lots more. It adds lot of new features compared to Transport Tycoon Deluxe.

Install OpenTTD on Ubuntu:

Installation of OpenTTD on Ubuntu is very easy. You can install it via Ubuntu Software app. Click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type Ubuntu Software in the search box and click Ubuntu Software to open it. Then Search OpenTTD in the search box of Ubuntu Software. After that select OpenTTD.

Then click the install button to install OpenTTD on your system.After the successful installation of OpenTTD business simulation game, click the show applications in the Ubuntu Gnome dock and type OpenTTD in the search box and click OpenTTD to open it. For Unity you can search OpenTTD from Ubuntu dash.
