Grock – Geological maps of the UK

Grock is a free and open source maps application for Linux. Using Grock you can view Map and Geological data of united kingdom. It is based on libchamplain and released under GPL-3.0-or-later license. The geological data of UK provided by the British Geological Survey and map data by Mapbox. It is a simple and easy to use UK map application. You can switch between satellite imagery, magnetic anomaly, gravity anomaly, and linear features.

Install Grock on Ubuntu linux

Grock is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux. You can installit via the terminal application. If you don’t have flatpak on your system then install it via the below link and restart your system.

How to install flatpak

flatpak install flathub me.leucoso.Grock

Then run this command to start Grock.

flatpak run me.leucoso.Grock

Grock maps magnetic

You can also uninstall it via below command.

sudo flatpak uninstall me.leucoso.Grock
