Double Commander is a free and open source file manager application for Linux, Windows and MacOS. It is a Total Commander inspired two panels side by side file manager. It comes with bulk multi rename, build-in file viewer and Internal text editor, custom columns and Unicode support, search function, Total Commander plug-ins support. It supports ZIP, TAR GZ, TGZ, LZMA and also BZ2, RPM, CPIO, DEB, RAR archive file types. It is written in Pascal and released under GNU General Public License v2.0.

How to Install Double Commander on Ubuntu
Download the latest version of Double Commander for Linux from the above download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Here the downloaded file nae is “doublecmd-1.0.11.gtk2.x86_64.tar.xz”. It will change based on the version number.
Now right click and Extract the archive file and inside you will get “doublecmd” program file. Just right click it and select Run.
It will open the Double Commander on your Ubuntu Linux system.
