NetWorx is a free windows software and used to monitor all network connections or a specific network connection (such as Ethernet or PPP).

Main features:

Usage reports in Excel, MS Word and HTML file formats.
Permits close supervision of uploads and downloads.
Works with dial-up, ISDN, cable modems, ADSL, Ethernet cards, and more.
Includes network information & testing tools
notify user or disconnect from the Internet automatically when network activity exceeds a certain level.
Speed meter to accurately time downloads and report the average transfer rates.

Adobe has launched Adobe Reader for iOS devices. It will enable users to view, access, interact with, share and print PDF files from their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

phpMyAdmin 3.4.6 is now available for download. phpMyAdmin is a free software tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the World Wide Web.

Google is shutting down Google buzz, code search, jaiku and some other

Google is shutting down some of its services. Shut down product list:

Code Search along with the Code Search API on January 15, 2012.
Google Buzz and the Buzz API in few weeks.
Jaiku will shut down on January 15, 2012.
iGoogle’s social features on January 15, 2012. iGoogle and non-social iGoogle applications, will stay as they are.
The University Research Program for Google Search will close on January 15, 2012.

Dennis Ritchie dies at 70 (unix & c creator)

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie died on October 8, 2011 at the age of 70 after a prolonged illness (prostate cancer and heart disease). Dennis Ritchie was born September 9, 1941 in Bronxville, New York. He was the principal designer of the C programming language and co-developer of the Unix operating system. whose variants — most notably Linux and OS X.

200 million chrome and 40 million google+ users

In a press release from Google, CEO Larry Page said that “Google+ is now open to everyone and we just passed the 40 million user mark. People are flocking into Google+ at an incredible rate and we are just getting started!”
And the three year old google chrome browser hits the 200 million users. According to Net Applications,in September Total market share of google chrome is 16.20%.
