Haruna is a free and open source video player for Linux. It is released under GPL-3.0-or-later license and built with Qt/QML and libmpv. Using you can play offline and online files on your system. It supports youtube dl for online playback. It comes with toggle playlist with mouse over, playlist overlays the video and automatically skip the video chapter containing certain words features. You can configure keyboard shortcuts and mouse buttons via the settings menu. Need to go to the next chapter, just middle click on progress bar.

Pure Maps is a free and open source maps and navigation application for Linux. It shows vector and raster maps and provide navigation instructions to the user. It also shows places and routes. You can select maps data from multiple sources. Currently it provides data from Mapbox, OpenStreetMap, HERE, HSL, OpenCycleMap, OpenSlopeMap, OpenTopoMap, Sputnik and Thunderforest Transport. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0. It is a fork of WhoGo Maps.

How to Edit /etc/apt/sources.list in Ubuntu

In Ubuntu the /etc/apt/source.list file is a configuration file for Advance Packaging Tool (APT). This file saves all URLs for remote repositories from where software packages and applications are installed.
When you install any software using the apt install or apt-get install then the apt tool looks inside the file /etc/apt/sources.list for the available remote repository links. And then it searches for the required software from that available remote repository and starts the download and installs it.

GNOME 40 Released

GNOME 40 is now officially available to download and use. According to Gnome team, this release gives you a focused distraction free and smoother computing. GNOME has a new versioning scheme in this release from previous 3.38 to this 40. The most notable features are completely redesigned horizontal workspace switcher and having the Dash launcher to the bottom of the screen from left.

Manjaro team just released Manjaro 21.0 Code named Ornara. Manjaro is a free and open-source Linux distribution based on the Arch Linux. In this Manjaro Ornara, the installer Calamares now supports best guess languages for each country and when GeoIP is enable and best guess for keyboard mappings.
