Today Google announced the new gmail label feature. Now you can add and edit label names up to 225 characters in gmail but Previously, Gmail only allowed up to 40 characters long for Label names. This new feature helps who come from outlook or accessed Gmail through IMAP. Google will shorten Nested Labels names when it necessary to avoid cluttering your view.
