Identity is a free and open source comparison software for Linux. Using this Identity app. you can compare multiple versions of images and videos side by side. You can arrange files in tabs, row and column modes. It comes with keyboard shortcuts, media property file details, zoom and playing the video files. It is released under GNU General Public License v3.0.

How to Install Identity on Ubuntu Linux

Identity is available as a flatpak package file from the flathub store. First install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation. Follow below link for the flatpak and flathub installation instructions.

How to Install flatpak and flathub

Now open the terminal application using the ctrl+alt+t keys and run below Identity app flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of Identity on your system.

flatpak install flathub org.gnome.gitlab.YaLTeR.Identity

After the successful installation of Identity, you can open it using below command.

flatpak run org.gnome.gitlab.YaLTeR.Identity

And also uninstall Identity app using this command.

sudo flatpak uninstall org.gnome.gitlab.YaLTeR.Identity
