How to Install BYOD on Ubuntu Linux
BYOD is available as a flatpak and native deb package files. If you don’t have flatpak on your system, then first install flatpak and flathub and restart it after the installation.
Now open the terminal command-line software (ctrl+alt+t) and run below Build Your Own Distortion flatpak install command. It will install the latest version of BYOD on your system.
flatpak install flathub com.chowdsp.BYOD
After the installation you can open it using the below command.
flatpak run com.chowdsp.BYOD
And uninstall BYOD using this command.
sudo flatpak uninstall com.chowdsp.BYOD
Install BYOD via DEB:
Download the latest Build Your Own Distortion app in the .deb package file format from the above BYOD download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Now in the terminal app run below BYOD apt install command.
sudo apt install ./Downloads/BYOD-Linux-x64-1.1.3.deb
Here “BYOD-Linux-x64-1.1.3.deb” is the downloaded file name and Downloads is the path. You can change above command based on your file name and path.
