SaveDesktop Save your Desktop Environment Configuration

SaveDesktop is a free and open source application for Linux. Using SaveDesktop, you can save your current desktop environment settings and configuration. Later you can restore the settings using this application. Currently it supports GNOME, Xfce, Cinnamon, Budgie, COSMIC, Pantheon and MATE desktop environments. It also supports icons, themes, backgrounds. GNOME and Nautilus extensions. It is written in Python and released under GNU General Public License v3.0.

How to Install SaveDesktop on Ubuntu Linux

SaveDesktop is available as a flatpak package from the remote flathub. First you need to install the latest version of flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation.

And restart it after the installation.  After that open the terminal app (ctrl+alt+t) and run below SaveDesktop flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub io.github.vikdevelop.SaveDesktop

And open SaveDesktop using below command.

flatpak run io.github.vikdevelop.SaveDesktop

And uninstall SaveDesktop using this command.

sudo flatpak uninstall io.github.vikdevelop.SaveDesktop
