Haruna Video Player for Linux

Haruna is a free and open source video player for Linux. It is released under GPL-3.0-or-later license and built with Qt/QML and libmpv. Using you can play offline and online files on your system. It supports youtube dl for online playback. It comes with toggle playlist with mouse over, playlist overlays the video and automatically skip the video chapter containing certain words features. You can configure keyboard shortcuts and mouse buttons via the settings menu. Need to go to the next chapter, just middle click on progress bar.

Install Haruna Video Player on Ubuntu

Haruna Video Player is available as a flatpak package for Ubuntu Linux system. So you need to install flatpak and flathub on your system using the below tutorial link.

How to install flatpak on Ubuntu

Restart your system after the flatpak installation. Now open the terminal application using the ctrl+alt+T keys. In terminal run Haruna Video Player flatpak installation command.

flatpak install flathub com.georgefb.haruna

After the installation run Haruna Video Player using this command.

flatpak run com.georgefb.haruna
