Microsoft Teams is a communication and collaborative platform from Microsoft. It offers chat, video conferencing, file storage, Audio calls, Video calls, document editing, screen sharing, online meeting and application integration. Microsoft Teams is now available for Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, MacOS and web app.
Install Microsoft Teams on Ubuntu:
Microsoft Teams is available as a native deb file package for Ubuntu. You can install it from your terminal application. Go to below download link and download the latest version of Microsoft Teams in .deb file format and save it on your Downloads folder.
Then open your terminal (ctrl+alt+t) and run below commands one by one to install it. First navigate to your Downloads folder.
cd Downloads
Then install the teams deb file using below command.
sudo dpkg -i teams_1.3.00.25560_amd64.deb
Enter your Ubuntu user password. Then run below command to install the missing missing dependencies in your system.
sudo apt install -f
After the installation you can open it from the application menu list or search. Or you can enter this command to open it.
