Safari 5.1.7 released

Safari 5.1.7 is now available for download.what’s new in this release?

OS X Lion:
Improve the browser’s responsiveness when the system is low on memory
Fix an issue that could prevent webpages from responding after using a pinch to zoom gesture

Apple released java update to remove Flashback Trojan

Apple has released a new java software update that removes the most common variant of the Flashback Trojan.

From Apple security note “This update also configures the Java web plug-in to disable the automatic execution of Java applets. Users may re-enable automatic execution of Java applets using the Java Preferences application. If the Java web plug-in detects that no applets have been run for an extended period of time it will again disable Java applets.”

Apple announced that it has sold 3 million “The New iPad”s since the device launch on March 16 and this is the strongest iPad launch yet.

“The new iPad is already available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands and will be available in 24 more countries starting at 8:00 a.m. local time on Friday, March 23 through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com) including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.”
