WordPress 3.4.1 released

WordPress 3.4.1 is now available for download.This is a maintenance release and addresses 18 bugs.

Fixes an issue where a theme’s page templates were sometimes not detected.
Addresses problems with some category permalink structures.
Better handling for plugins or themes loading JavaScript incorrectly.
Adds early support for uploading images on iOS 6 devices.
Allows for a technique commonly used by plugins to detect a network-wide activation.
Better compatibility with servers running certain versions of PHP (5.2.4, 5.4) or with uncommon setups (safe mode, open_basedir), which had caused warnings or in some cases prevented emails from being sent.

And security fixes.

Google announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)

Google has announced Android 4.1 at Google I/O.Google will make Jelly Bean available for the Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S in mid-July.

1 million Android device activations per day

Google revealed that 400 million Android devices have been activated since it launched and now up to 1 million Android hardware activations per day.Note that just 100 million Android devices and 500,000 activations per day a year ago. Some other notes

There have been 20 billion app installs across Google Play.
There are now 600,000 games and apps available on Google Play.

250 million Google+ accounts

Google revealed in the Google I/O developer conference that Google+ now has over 250 million accounts and only about 150 million of those accounts are currently active.More users access Google+ on their mobile device than through a desktop computer and the average Google+ user spends 12 minutes a day “in stream”, up from 9 minutes just a few months ago.
