Facebook App Center Now Available in India, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and UK

Facebook has announced that The App Center is now available in Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Initially, the App Center was available to users in the United States only.Now facebook accepting submissions from developers with translated apps for the App Center.Facebook also said that it will be launching it in Brazil, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey in the coming weeks.

New 60 second Internet Explorer commercial – Welcome to a more beautiful web

Microsoft has released a new 60 second TV ad exclusively to Facebook.This new ad uses the song “Too Close” by UK-based singer Alex Clare.The new ad first shows the websites (vimeo, clipboard, cut the rope, marvel, facebook and twitter) running inside of Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer reviews from Wired, softpedia, new york times, conceivably tech, the next web.

Facebook shutting down Face.com API and Kilk

Facebook is shutting down Face.com’s facial recognition APIs and Face.com’s iOS app, Klik, is also being removed from the App store. After July 20th 2012 Face.com will dispose of the data collect in connection with the use of the KLIK app.

Mozilla cuts down innovation on Thunderbird

Mitchell Baker, the Chairman of the Mozilla Foundation has announced that continued innovation on Thunderbird is not a priority for Mozilla and that the most critical needs for the product are on-going security and stability. Thunderbird is already pretty much what its users want and there is not a high demand for innovation in this field.

Mozilla also said that there are 20 million thunderbird users worldwide.

Blogger drops Opera support

Blogger a service from google has now dropped support for Opera browser.Just try blogger from Opera browser and here’s what you see:

“Your browser is no longer supported by Blogger. Some parts of Blogger will not work and you may experience problems. If you are having problems, try Google Chrome. | Dismiss”

It can be cleared by pressing Dismiss but it re-appears with every move to a new screen, and/or every refresh.
