Microsoft said that the final build of Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5 will be available for download on August 15th for MSDN subscribers with a free one year developer account for Windows Store.Microsoft plans to launch Visual Studio 2012 formally on September 12th.

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows 8 has been released to manufacturing and the final build number is 9200. you can get Windows 8 starting on October 26th either by upgrading for $39.99 or on a new PC.

Digg,the Social bookmarking website launched the first version (v1) of its new site. It was built on fresh code base and infrastructure in six weeks. The new version requires Facebook account to login and cut down the spam. Version 1 (v1) will not include a commenting system now. The new Digg score is the sum of the number of diggs, Facebook shares and tweets for a story.

Google is celebrating 2012 london olympic with a new London 2012 Hockey doodle on its homepage. This google doodle shows a female player holding a hook-shaped stick playing on a hockey pitch.
The London 2012 Hockey sports event started on the 29th of July 2012 and will be played until the 11th of August 2012. Men’s Hockey made its debut at the London 1908 Games and first women’s Olympic hockey competition was held at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.
