Blender 2.63 is now available for download.what’s new in this release?

new Blender mesh system with full support for N-sided polygons.
Portions of the mesh can now be hidden in sculpt mode.
support for a panoramic camera, mirror ball environment textures, and float precision textures.
new are render layer mask layers, a shadow render pass, ambient occlusion, and viewport display of background images and render layers.
Motion tracking improvements.
Add movieclip input support to the sequencer.
Add support for opengl rendering in the sequencer (header icons as with 3D view).

Google sells SketchUp

Google has agreed to sell a popular 3D modeling platform SketchUp to Trimble Navigation for an undisclosed sum.
Trimble is a Sunnyvale, Calif. based compant, which makes surveying, mapping, and marine navigation equipment, said SketchUp will enhance the integration of its field presence with the wider enterprise.
Trimble will also partner with Google on running and developing SketchUp’s 3D Warehouse, an online repository where users can find, share, store and collaborate on 3D models.
