Blogger drops Opera support

Blogger a service from google has now dropped support for Opera browser.Just try blogger from Opera browser and here’s what you see:

“Your browser is no longer supported by Blogger. Some parts of Blogger will not work and you may experience problems. If you are having problems, try Google Chrome. | Dismiss”

It can be cleared by pressing Dismiss but it re-appears with every move to a new screen, and/or every refresh.

Standard edition for Low density or non-virtualized environments.
Essentials edition for Small business environments.
Foundation edition for Economical general purpose.

The pricing ranges starts from $425 for essentials to $4.809 for the Datacenter edition. The Foundation, has no price and it is just for OEM only.

Google is shutting down some of its services. Shut down product list:

iGoogle will be retire On November 1, 2013

Google Video stopped taking uploads in May 2009 and now google moving the remaining hosted content to YouTube as private videos.Migrate, delete or download your content from google video before August 20, 2012.

Symbian Search App – soon

Google Talk Chatback – This service allowed websites to embed a Google Talk widget.

Mozilla announces Firefox Mobile OS

Mozilla has announced that B2G will now be known as FireFox Mobile OS and the first FireFox Mobile OS device will launch in Brazil in early 2013 under Telefonica’s local carrier, Vivo.

Mozilla also revealed the new carriers that will support the OS are Telefonica,T-Mobile,Etisalat, Smart, Sprint, Telecom Italia, and Telenor.

According to Mozilla  ZTE and Alcatel will both make FireFox Mobile OS devices and Qualcomm will provide Snapdragon processors for the phones.
