Google is celebrating Shakuntala Devi’s 84th birthday with a new animated calculator doodle on its homepage.

Shakuntala Devi (November 4, 1929 – April 21, 2013), popularly known as the “Human Computer”, was a child prodigy and mental calculator.Her talents earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.Shakuntala Devi was born in Bangalore, India, to an orthodox Kannada Brahmin family.she married to santosh anand ratanparke who is a maharastrian and settle in hyderabad.

Google is celebrating Halloween with a new interactive Halloween witch doodle on its homepage.

Halloween or Hallowe’en also known as All Hallows’ Eve, is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. It initiates the triduum of Hallowmas, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to
remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.
According to many scholars, All Hallows’ Eve is a Christianized feast initially influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, with possible pagan roots, particularly the Gaelic Samhain.Other academics maintain that it originated independently of Samhain and has solely Christian roots.

Wordpress 3.7.1 is now available for download.This is a maintenance release. What’s new in this release?

Fixes:

Images with captions no longer appear broken in the visual editor.
Allow some sites running on old or poorly configured servers to continue to check for updates from WordPress.org.
Avoid fatal errors with certain plugins that were incorrectly calling some WordPress functions too early.
Fix hierarchical sorting in get_pages, exclusions in wp_list_categories, and in_category when called with empty values.
Fix a warning that may occur in certain setups while performing a search, and a few other notices.
