WordPress Now Powers 14.7% of the top million websites in the world

According to Matt Mullenweg (Founder), the blogging software WordPress is now powers 14.7% of the top million websites in the world, up from 8.5%. And 22 out of every 100 new active domains in the US are running WordPress. Matt Mullenweg also says that WordPress now has 15,000 plugins and has seen 200 million plugin downloads and from the recent survey 6,800 self-employed respondents were responsible for over 170,000 sites personally.

Google buys Motorola Mobility

Search giant google announced that it will buy Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. Motorola Mobility is the mobile devices division of Motorola.
“This acquisition will not change our commitment to run Android as an open platform. Motorola will remain a licensee of Android and Android will remain open. We will run Motorola as a separate business.” said google CEO  Page.
