Ubuntu 12.10 gets a codename Quantal Quetzal,Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth revealed on his personal blog post. Ubuntu 12.10 is scheduled for release in 18th October 2012.

In his blog he said that “I give you the Quantal Quetzal, soon to be dressed in tessellated technicolour, now open for toolchains, kernels and other pressing preparatory packages.”

This is release Colonical mainly focus on the quality of the Ubuntu . This means you can except small amount of new features. According to wikipedia Quetzals are strikingly colored birds in the trogon family, found in forests, especially in humid highlands.

Google is celebrating Gideon Sundback’s 132nd birthday with a new interactive big zipper google doodle on its homepage.Gideon Sundback (April 24, 1880 – June 21, 1954) was a Swedish-American electrical engineer. Gideon Sundback is most commonly associated with his work in the development of the zipper. Otto Fredrik Gideon Sundback was born on Sonarp farm in Ödestugu Parish, in Jönköping County, Småland, Sweden.

Facebook 901 Million Users

Facebook announced that it has 901 million users,as of March 31, 2012, an increase of 33% as compared to 680 millionas of March 31, 2011.

526 million daily active users on average in March 2012, an increase of 41% as compared to 372 million in March 2011.
488 million users who used Facebook mobile products in March 2012.
more than 125 billion friend connections on Facebook as of March 31, 2012.
users generated an average of 3.2 billion Likes and Comments per day during the first quarter of 2012.

Donate Ribbon is a free wordpress plugin and it adds a black Donate ribbon in the upper right corner of your wordpress site .

Main features:

set the link to any URL you choose via the settings page.
vertical offset options.
set the link title hover message

To install

Login to wordpress (wp-admin).
In your admin dashboard click plugins and select Add New.
Type Donate Ribbon in the search field and click Search Plugins button.
Install Donate Ribbon.
After the successfully Installation click the activate Plugin link to activate the plugin.
