How to install MyPaint on Ubuntu
You can install MyPaint via protable AppImage and flatpak from flathub. First install flatpak and flathub on your system and restart it after the installation . Follow below link for the installation instructions.
Now open the terminal app using the ctrl+alt+t keys and run below MyPaint flatpak install command.
flatpak install flathub org.mypaint.MyPaint
It will install the latest MyPaint paint application on your system. You can open it using below command.
flatpak run org.mypaint.MyPaint
And uninstall it using below command.
flatpak uninstall org.mypaint.MyPaint
[OR]
sudo flatpak uninstall org.mypaint.MyPaint
Install MyPaint via AppImage
Download MyPaint app in .AppImage file format from the above MyPaint download link and save it on your Downloads folder. Now in the terminal run below commands one by one.
Note: Here “MyPaint-v2.0.1-alt.AppImage” is the downloaded file name. You can change below command based on your file name and path.
cd Downloads
sudo chmod +x ~ MyPaint-v2.0.1-alt.AppImage
./MyPaint-v2.0.1-alt.AppImage
